Suriya's film with Murugadoss, opposite Shruti Hassan, 7am Arivu is nearing the finish line, and it is one of the most awaited films of the year. Apparently he plays a circus acrobat in the film and has worked hard to pull off this difficult role. Unit members were dazzled with the dizzying acrobatics he has performed in this film. They were so impressed that the makers begged him to show off some of his moves to the audience at the audio launch for the film which is to be held this month. Being the good sport he is, Suriya has agreed.

This spectacular event is to take place at Nehru stadium and Kalaignar TV has obtained the broadcasting rights. Udhayanidhi's Red Giant Movies is producing the film.  Silambarasan's film hits century

Silambarasan's Vaanam, directed by Krish, has successfully completed 100 days in Chennai. STR's turn as 'Cable' Raja was appreciated in a big way and critics agreed that this was one of his finest performances. Vaanam, which was a remake of Allu Arjun's Vedam, is repeating the success of the original. STR's earlier outing Vinnaithandi Varuvaya, which saw him in a sensitive, mature portrayal was also a blockbuster. So Vaanam is STR's second smash hit in a row.

The actor is over the moon with the way his career is going nowadays especially since he is one of the hottest stars in the tinsel town. STR is currently working hard on Vettai Mannan, Osthi, and Poda Podi. In Osthi, he will be sporting a six-pack, which is likely to send his stock soaring even further into the stratosphere. Congratulations to STR on the success of Vaanam

Kajal Agarwal is a smart cookie

Kajal Agarwal is a clever young girl who is very ambitious and goes about her career with the astuteness of a professional chess player. The petite star's clever strategy helped her land Magadheera, the most successful film in Telugu cinema. She is applying the same tactics in Tamil cinema and Bollywood as well. In Tamil, she has Maatran and in Bollywood, after Singham with Ajay Devgn which was a huge hit, she is sitting pretty. This role was originally done by Anushka but Kajal managed to get the part.

Her role model is Kajol, Ajay's wife and a superstar in her own right. Kajal did not get to meet Kajol though she really wanted to but it is certain that the two will get along because both have beauty and brains.

 Selva's next is Mayakkam Enna

Director Selvaraghavan has said that he has chosen the title Mayakkam Enna for the Dhanush starrer which he is directing. Very recently, Selva had said that he has not finalized the title yet but now he seems to have made up his mind finally.

The director has said that after pondering over the title for a long time, he decided that it would be the most apt one for the film. It may be recalled that earlier, the film was titled Irandam Ulagam.

GV Prakash is scoring the music for Mayakkam Enna and the film star Dhanush and Richa Gangopadhyay in lead roles.

Arya sighted down South!

Actor Arya was spotted at the Madurai airport on Sunday. Dressed in blue jeans, a white shirt, and sporting a pair of stylish glares he looked cool and handsome. He has been shooting down South in various locations for Vettai and once he and Sameera Reddy were mobbed while getting down from the train. Perhaps the actor had that in mind because he was walking fast to make it inside the car waiting for him, before the crowd gathered.

One nervous fan approached him and hesitantly asked permission to take a photo. Arya obliged and posed for the shot. He even tried to get her to overcome her shyness and pose with him for the shot. And then he was off in a flash. But his fan was floored and told all and sundry that he was very polite and really sweet!

Nayanthara converts to Hinduism

The latest development in the Prabhu Deva - Nayanthara love story is that the latter has changed her faith! The actress was spotted in Chennai and it is reported that she completed the prescribed religious rituals that would allow her to become a Hindu. The proceedings took place at the Arya Samaj temple and apparently it was a moving and very spiritual experience for the actress.

A certificate was issued to her, declaring her newfound status as a Hindu. Originally a Catholic who was christened Diana Kurian, she will no longer go by that name. Her screen name, Nayanthara will now be her legal name. The actress was reluctant to talk about her conversion and refused to discuss Prabhu Deva or her impending marriage. But she has confirmed that she is now a Hindu and would only admit that the reason for the change was personal and the decision was arrived at only after a lot of soul searching.

It may also be recalled that Prabhu Deva's fist wife had also converted from Islam to Hinduism and she changed her name from Ramlath to Latha

Vijay to cash in on Mahesh Babu's loss

In recent times, Telugu stars like Jr. NTR and Ram Charan Teja have attempted to capture a market for themselves in the Tamil industry especially since our stars like Suriya, Karthi, and Jiiva have successfully dubbed their films in Telugu. They met with indifferent results and they seem to have given up as Allu Arjun's Badrinath, which was to be dubbed and released in Tamil was scrapped.

Now another star will be attempting to make the crossover successfully. It is none other than Vijay. His Nanban is to be released in Telugu. Originally, the movie was supposed to be made simultaneously in Telugu, but Mahesh Babu who was supposed to do it, chose to back away from the project. Now it has been decided that Nanban will be dubbed and released in Telugu and hopefully make a killing there as well.

Jayam Ravi is both hero and villain?

Ameer's Aadhi Bagawan with Jayam Ravi has been in the making for almost a year and a half. Now Ameer has shifted to top gear and he is racing ahead with the project so that it can have a year end release. Word is that Jayam Ravi has a dual role in the film. When quizzed about it, Ameer was hesitant at first but admitted that it was so.

Further questions were immediately shot at him as everyone wanted to know if one character would be the hero and the other the villain since that is the rumor that has been floating around for the past few days. Ameer laughed when he heard this and told those present that he would not reveal plot details as it would kill the suspense and disappoint fans who always expect the unexpected from him. So for now he is keeping mum about the whole thing.
